What can happen if you by random stumbles on a house with the most remarkable women who is more then she seem. Read it before ? Don t think so. This house is not a can of worms or "the house on the hill"It is more like Pandora's box.

Herodotus is traveling alone when he by accidentally finds a house with a young girl that invites him in. Or perhaps it the other way around? The house and the girl is definitely more then it seems.
Stephen approach to this short is with an good portion irony, a good insights in religion matters and moral dilemmas. You will not be laughing through the book, but you will be smiling and even perhaps being a bit annoyed with Herodotus approach to Polly and the subjects she raises.
Such the classical subject of love and why we love and Faith At some point in the short story you think you "understand" what it is all about. But that not a problem. Because that may not the main riddle.

Bad Stuff The main character description good have been more space. Just to get under the skin to the main character.
Some of the dialogs could have been given a second rewrite
Good Stuff Humorous short story
A lot of good plot twists that makes the story a page turner
Stephen Goldin writing is to the point and he don't overuse with a lot of unnecessary words or sentences
And did I say the short story is hilarious !
